World Bank Senior Leadership Pays Courtesy Call on Nyeri Governor to Review Project Progress
Senior officials from the World Bank, led by the Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Wencai Zhang, and the Country Director, Mr. Qimiao Fan, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Governor Mutahi Kahiga at his office in Nyeri County to review progress across key World Bank–supported programmes being implemented in the county.
The meeting was attended by the NAVCDP National Project Coordinator, Dr. Samuel Guto; the Deputy Governor of Nyeri County, H.E. David Kinaniri; senior World Bank officials; county executive committee members; and technical officers.
Discussions focused on the status of ongoing interventions, with particular emphasis on strengthening resilient agricultural value chains, enhancing service delivery to farmers, and accelerating the realization of development outcomes at the county level.
The engagement reaffirmed the shared commitment of the World Bank, national and county governments, and development partners to improving farmer incomes, promoting sustainable agricultural growth, and advancing inclusive development in line with Kenya’s national priorities.
