NAVCDP to Participate in Joint Review Meeting for County Executive Committee Members
The National Agricultural Value Chain Development Project (NAVCDP), in collaboration with the Council of Governors (CoG), the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, and the World Bank, will participate in a Joint Review Meeting for County Executive Committee Members (CECMs) scheduled to take place from 2nd to 4th February 2026 at Sarova Whitesands Hotel, Mombasa.
Held under the theme “Transforming Communities through Inclusive Agricultural Solutions, Digital Innovation, and Commercialization,” the three-day forum will bring together County Executive Committee Members responsible for agriculture, livestock, cooperatives, and related sectors to review progress, share experiences, and strengthen coordination in the implementation of World Bank–supported agricultural programmes, including NAVCDP and the Food Systems Resilience Program (FSRP).
The meeting will feature high-level policy discussions, technical presentations from the World Bank and the National Treasury, and joint plenary sessions focusing on agricultural commercialization, financial inclusion through ward-based SACCOs, farmer-led irrigation development, climate resilience, and digital innovation in agriculture. Breakaway sessions will allow NAVCDP and FSRP teams to reflect on implementation progress, emerging challenges, and practical solutions for enhancing impact at county and community levels.
Key outcomes of the meeting are expected to include the adoption of actionable resolutions, strengthened collaboration between national and county governments, and alignment on priority interventions aimed at increasing market participation, value addition, and resilience for farmers across project counties.
The Joint Review Meeting underscores NAVCDP’s commitment to inclusive, coordinated, and results-driven implementation that supports counties to deliver sustainable agricultural transformation and improved livelihoods for farmers.
